ZAP-X Patient:
Yolanda
Diagnosis:
Vestibular Schwannoma
A close-up, black-and-white portrait of ZAP-X patient Yolanda. She has long dark hair cascading past her shoulders, large expressive eyes, and a warm smile. Yolanda’s head is tilted slightly to one side against a plain dark background, conveying a friendly, confident demeanor.

“When I was first diagnosed with a brain tumor, I was told there were only two options: undergo open-skull surgery or take the “wait and watch” approach. But with only 70% of patients having positive outcomes from waiting, I couldn’t help but wonder—what about the other 30%? That uncertainty led me to take matters into my own hands. I did my own research and discovered ZAP-X® Gyroscopic Radiosurgery®. Seeking a second opinion, I realized that my tumor was actually treatable with this advanced technology, proving that the latest medical knowledge isn’t always readily available, especially in private clinics, which can lag behind by nearly a decade.”

“Unlike many, I wasn’t afraid of treatment—I was excited! In fact, my ZAP-X procedure was scheduled just one day after my birthday, making it feel like a gift to my future self. During the treatment, I simply closed my eyes and imagined attending haute couture shows in various sumptuous palaces in Paris. Before I knew it, the session was over. What amazed me most was how quickly I felt back to normal—within just 30 to 45 minutes, my mental stress was gone, and I was back to living my everyday life as if nothing had happened.”

“As for side effects, about four hours after the treatment I had a migraine on both sides of my head (and the whole forehead) and slight migraine-induced nausea. I went to bed at 7 p.m. and when I woke up at 3 a.m., the migraine and the nausea had gone.”

“This experience has reinforced my belief that more people need to know about ZAP-X. There is a significant gap in awareness, especially in Europe, and I’m determined to help change that. My mission is clear: I want all of Europe to know about ZAP-X. Patients deserve access to the best possible treatment options, and I hope that sharing my story will help others find the solution that worked so incredibly well for me.”

“When I talk about ZAP, I’m reminded of a quote by Marie Skłodowska-Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize: ‘Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.’ Her words capture the spirit of what ZAP is all about.”
