ZAP-X Patient:
Claus
Diagnosis:
Pituitary Adenoma
A smiling ZAP-X patient named Claus is shown in a close-up, black-and-white photograph. He has short white hair and is wearing a collared shirt. Claus appears in a well-lit, neutral background setting, and his expression is warm and friendly.

“Being diagnosed with Cushing’s disease in 2020 was a life-changing moment for me. Too much cortisol in my body led to a range of health issues, but the most concerning symptom was the loss of my visual field. When doctors discovered a tumor on my pituitary gland, I underwent two surgeries through my nose, but a third operation was deemed too risky. My endocrinologist recommended ZAP-X® Gyroscopic Radiosurgery®, and after researching the procedure—including watching a video of the first patient treated—I felt confident in moving forward. Still, I was naturally a bit nervous about the treatment.”

“In November 2021, I underwent three ZAP-X sessions, each lasting about 70 minutes. The experience was unique—I lost my sense of time during treatment and felt some pressure at the back of my head, but overall, it was manageable. After each session, I enjoyed a coffee, spoke with my doctor, and even drove myself home. Within weeks, my blood pressure returned to normal, and over the course of a year, I lost weight by adopting healthier eating habits. My skin, once oily due to the excess cortisol, even became noticeably drier.”

“Cushing’s disease is serious, but compared to others, I consider myself extremely fortunate. Today, I feel unrestricted in my life—no doctor has told me to slow down or limit my activities. I continue to work full-time as an engineer, travel whenever I can, and enjoy driving my Mercedes roadster around the beautiful Lake of Zurich. I can even go on week-long ski trips without hesitation. Thanks to ZAP-X, I’ve regained my health and can live my life exactly as I did before.”
