Derek T. DeScioli joined ZAP Surgical as the Chief Operating Officer in 2021 with over 20 years of experience leading high-growth medical and technology companies. Most recently, Derek served as the CEO of IntraOp Medical, where he led the company out of bankruptcy into a leading innovator in the field of radiation oncology with significant revenue growth, an expanded product portfolio, and world-renowned clinical research partners. Previously, Mr DeScioli has held leadership positions at 3M, Soliant Energy, Alpha Technologies (Enersys), and Astrodyne TDI. Derek earned his Master’s Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a BS in Engineering from Rutgers University.
